I grabbed a metal mallet (mini sledgehammer) and dropped in on cement in various ways. Lightly and a bit harder. Recorded into my ntg3 in a garage sectioned off. Signal to noise ratio was really good because it was a loud sound. H5 was my recorded. Cleaned some hum using rx4. Boom!. Pretty please, post a link if you use this file. After hours of searching for the sound of a guitar hitting the ground, i resolved to just recording a quick piece. This is a small sized guitar hitting the ground a couple times on a carpeted floor (recorded in logic pro).

I'm creating a progressive loop that starts out with plenty of space between the sounds, but get progressively shorter to the point of overlapping. This is the base sound. I may work on creating a more cohesive pitch, but the dramatic pitch could possibly work for you. Key: c #minoralt key: 12abpm: 107 (does it matter?)environment: audacity for stupid simplicity. This sound was recorded at the campus of poblenou of the pompeu fabra university, in the area of tallers in the corridor a-b. It was recorded between 14:00-14:20 with a zoom h2 recorder. The sound consist in percussive and low-mid frequency sound produced by the whole pencil case falling and impacting into the floor.
